The space
With magnificent views over the ancient oast, Fuggles Cottage enjoys an idyllic location on the edge of Robertsbridge. Attached to the owner’s house but with own entrance and key safe, the space comprises a bright and airy living room with breakfast-making facilities (kettle, toaster, microwave, mini fridge), a cosy bedroom with super king bed (as a zip-link, it can be divided to two singles on request; thanks to our super-squishy topper, you really can’t tell this is a zip link bed when it’s made up as a super king), wardrobe and dressing table nook and chic, modern en-suite bathroom. Outside, there’s a sun-drenched sole-use patio with dining table and chairs and guests are free to bask on our front lawns.
This property is ideal for those looking to enjoy the wonderful pubs, restaurants and cafes in the area but if you love to cook, may we suggest our other cottages, Hop or Goldings.
Good to know: there is a higher-than-usual step out of the bath, making this cottage unsuitable for those with mobility issues. If you need a walk-in shower, then Goldings is the cottage for you. We provide a non-slip step and hand rail.

Newly renovated, a pet-friendly, detached one-bedroom cottage. This cosy space sleeps two with walk-in shower and fully fenced private garden.
All our cottages are ground-floor only and Goldings cottage has a walk-in shower. However, our site and track are rustic and access could be tricky for those unable to walk across uneven ground, our doors are standard width and there is insufficient space for a wheelchair to manoeuvre in some rooms.
We try to be; we believe holidays should be ethical and sustainable. We’ve planted a bio-diverse garden to benefit pollinators, complete with wildflower meadow; our electricity is 100 percent renewable; we use zero waste laundry detergent; our cottages are stocked with eco cleaning products and plastic-free loo roll; recycling and composting is available on site; and it’s possible to reach us by train. What’s more, the site is restricted to holiday lets only, so you’re not contributing to the housing crisis or harming a rural community by staying here. Yes! Our duvets and pillows don’t contain animal products, you won’t find sheepskins draped across beds or leather sofas, our cleaning materials are all cruelty free and we’re happy to recommend local vegan-friendly restaurants.
Check in is via lock box, so you can arrive at your leisure from 15.00h. Check out is by 10.00h. Early check in or late check out is by prior arrangement only and may incur an additional charge.
Babies and children are welcome in Hop Cottage and there are a wealth of facilities on site so you can travel light, from toys and books to black-out blinds and travel cots.
